+====== Triangle - FAQs about Lifebushido Global Triangles ======
+\\  What is a Global Triangle?\\ **A Global Triangle is a group of 3-5 people who have been accepted as a Turkshido. The people are from all over the world and have expressed interest and applied to be part of this project. The group consists of a Moderator, Scribe, and Triangle members.**\\ \\  Are there any fees to join?\\ **No, this is a free project. This is a creative project by Lifebushido.\\ \\ When does this start?\\ **Once people are grouped into triangles, it is off and running! As of October 2009, we have 50+ people who have applied and been accepted into Triangles.\\ \\ **How are people linked?\\ **Initially, people will be linked on a first-come, first-served basis. The resulting diversity is expected to be a strength of the triangle, with people from various backgrounds and life experiences connecting. Once we have a few months of experience and find out what works and does not work, we will link people based on what has been successful.\\ \\  What are your goals for the Global Triangle program?\\ **Lifebushido Triangle connects people around the world in small groups to create and share life goals and help each other achieve goals in a positive, optimistic, open, sharing, trusting environment where Anything is Possible.\\  We hope to connect people with one another to foster growth, both personally for triangle members, and globally, through goals achieved that impact others outside the triangle. We hope the number of people involved in triangles will grow into the future.** **This is an experiment, so we'll see what develops! The results are up to you!** **We have a hunch this might get big, but because this is an experiment, we aren't sure where it will go just yet.**\\ \\  What is the philosophy behind the Global Triangle Project? **The Global Triangle Project is a unique social experiment designed to connect people from all over the world to others for the purpose of setting and attaining goals, both as individuals and as a group. It is unique because it is completely online and free from many of the distractions we all face in one on one relationships, cultural differences, etc. The possibilities are endless how this project may impact the participants - including personal and career aspirations, community outreach, global impact - among many other things.**\\ \\  What is the purpose of having the titles? **Group names, chosen by triangle members are to foster ownership of the group, and to give some type of description or definition to the group. The name of your triangle will reflect your uniqueness while giving you a common purpose.**\\ \\  Will there be some sort of pay for our busywork? Many life goals mention $. **Participation is by invitation only, and is voluntary by all members.** **There is no compensation from Lifebushido. If interested, anyone in a Lifebushido Triangle can apply for a job with Lifebushido. Lifebushido, as of October 2009, has about 50 people working part-time from home. You can apply at www.lifebushido.com and you should mention in your job application essay that you are in a Lifebushido Triangle.**\\ \\  Once we know who are the active members and moderators, how will the triangles be re-arranged? **We are hoping to minimize disruptions in groups (if you're making connection with those in your group, we want that to continue) while also making sure that all participants are active within their triangles. If we have only 7 active moderators out of the original 10, for example, we'll likely merge some triangles depending upon which group members are active, keeping already grouped people together as much as possible. The ideal is to keep triangles between 5-10 members total, so we want that many active people in each group.**\\ \\  Is the Global Triangle Project a sub-project of the Lifebushido Project? If so, in what way? **Lifebushido is a parent company, which has many different offshoots, including www.bestagentbusiness.com, www.goalbushido.com, www.orangepassion.com, www.businessbookbrief.com, www.ghostingitforward.org, etc. The Global Triangle Project is the brainchild of Lifebushido's President, Steve Kantor, and is coordinated by me, an Ishido working for Lifebushido. Our passion at Lifebushido is to help people spend more time using their unique talents and abilities. The Global Triangle Project is yet another effort to A) help people realize and hone their unique talents (set and achieve goals) and B) see what can be achieved when individuals harness their unique talents and help others harness theirs.**\\ \\  Is the Turkshido Project different from the Global Triangle Project? If so, how is it different? **Turkshido is the term used for a person who has done HITs on Amazon's mTurk for Lifebushido, and is how each and every one of you got involved in the Global Triangle Project. Not everyone who has done HITs for Lifebushido were invited to be part of the Global Triangle Project.\\ \\ Why are you doing this?**\\

+** We are passionate about helping people find and use their unique talents. Someone who knows what they are good at - what they are passionate about, is happier, more successful, and more likely to help others. We want to help people find and utilize their unique talents and teach them to give back to others, within the group, their circle of influence (family, friends), and their communities. This has potential to impact many more people than just those who are actively involved in a triangle. Even a small drop of water creates a ripple.**\\ \\ **What's in it for me?\\ The project is focused on helping you find your unique talents and implement them in your life through setting goals and achieving them. The triangle is a safe, encouraging place for each member to network with others who can help one another meet their goals. You will also have the opportunity to lend**\\ \\  How will we meet?\\ **Because this project is global and virtual, all meetings will be held according to the preferences of the triangle members. This could be through conference calls, Instant Messenger, online forums (like ning.com), or any other creative way your group comes up with.**\\ \\  How often should we be meeting?\\ **Ideally, triangle members should be meeting at least once a week to touch base, encourage one another in goal setting and achievement and project development.**\\ \\  Is there anything specific we should be discussing at our meetings?\\ **Discussions are up to moderators. Remember this group is to help each other and guide one another. Keep in mind that everything should be kept on a positive note, not focused solely on struggles, but what it will take to overcome them. Ideally, set some time to discuss each member's goals briefly, the goals of the triangle, as a whole, and progress toward meeting those goals.** **It is also fine to discuss topics that have nothing to do with this Global Triangle project! Maybe someone is looking for advice on reaching a certain goal and you have expertise to offer. Maybe someone is looking for a job, and you happen to know about something that could help. Get to know each other as if you share a cubicle next to one another - the world is not as big as it might seem!**\\ \\  What do triangle members do in between meetings to stay in touch?\\  T**here are various ways to keep in touch - email, the phone, surprise cards in the regular mail, and of course IM.\\ \\ Why is each triangle limited to 3-5 people? \\  The triangle needs to be small enough that people get to know one another well, but big enough that various levels of experience and personality types are represented.\\ \\ What kind of expertise or experience is required?\\ Life experience. Some people will have tons of expertise in one area, but no one has expertise in all areas. That is why we need to interact with each other - we all have unique talents.**\\ \\ What is done with the information shared in the triangle?\\ **It is critical that the triangle is a safe place to share sensitive and personal information without fear that it will be heard elsewhere. Each member is responsible to keep the mood of the triangle positive, while allowing for each member to be "real" about the struggles they are facing. Trust is built through everyone in the triangle keeping all that is said in confidence. When there is trust, there is growth.\\ \\ What is Lifebushido?\\ See www.lifebushido.com for some additional information. Basically, Lifebushido is building a global network of people working part-time from home with flexible hours using their unique talents. Lifebushido ventures include business, creative, and charitable/social entrepreneur projects. Lifebushido is a term that, for us, means living life boldly.**\\ \\ How many people are involved?\\ **We received over 100 responses to the HIT on mTurk. Of those responses, we asked people if they were interested in joining, and if so, in what capacity. To date, we have about 50 people who will be involved in the initial phase of the Global Triangle Project. We expect this number to grow.** \\ **\\  So, I want to join. What do I do?\\ ****Once you've been accepted, you will receive an email from Steve Kantor letting you know you're in. You will then be contacted by JoAnna Prewitt, the Global Triangle Project Coordinator and/or your Global Triangle Group Moderator. It would be a good idea to create a group in your email program containing all of the triangle members' email addresses, for easy access. Your triangle moderator will tell you when your first meeting will be and how you'll be meeting. Once the meetings begin, your moderator will guide your triangle on the first few baby steps to get things started.**
